Hitchin' Bitches is a group for female riggers and rope tops that started in late 2011 in London. It began to create a safe space for women who are into to rope, a space to learn and to share in. Despite ropes getting more and popular, it is common to see mostly men tying women and not so much of the female rope tops. Hitchin' Bitches founders did not feel this reflected the reality in which we live- where women tie, have skills and knowledge, and where men are tied by women, and so on.
Hitchin' Bitches chapters, which are worldwide, welcome all women who live full time as women and FTM, genderqueer and intersexed persons who feel that they still have links to women's communities.
